Terrace in Leicester Square
A covered, heated outdoor terrace overlooking Leicester Square — one of the largest in the area, open later than most.
Ember at Horizons sits at Queens House, 1 Leicester Place, two minutes from Leicester Square Underground station. Its outdoor terrace overlooks the square itself — covered and heated, so it runs through the year rather than shutting down once the weather turns, and one of the largest attached to any restaurant or bar in Leicester Square.
It works as a destination on its own, not just an add-on to a meal — somewhere to sit outside for a round of cocktails, a shisha, or a full dinner, with the same food and drinks menu as inside and table service throughout.
The Space
Marble-topped tables, lounge seating with cushions, and low, warm lighting set it apart from the pavement tables and standing bars nearby. There's enough distance between tables for groups to talk without competing with the next one over — built for a slow evening rather than a quick drink between other plans.
Food, Drinks, and Shisha
The full food and drinks menu is served on the terrace — charcoal-grilled sharing platters, kebabs, and à la carte mains, alongside cocktails, wines, and beers. Shisha is also part of the terrace offering. See the full food menu and drinks menu for the current selection.
Open Late
The terrace stays open until 1am, later than most outdoor spaces in Leicester Square — the kitchen serves until 2am (last orders 1:30am) and the bar runs until 3am. Weeknights are quieter; weekends and post-theatre evenings are the busiest time to be on the terrace.
Location
Ember is at Queens House, 1 Leicester Place, London WC2H 7BP — a two-minute walk from Leicester Square Underground station via the north exit, among the cinemas and theatres of the West End. See our contact page for a map and full opening hours.
Book a Table
The terrace is the busiest part of the venue and books up most Friday and Saturday evenings. Booking ahead is recommended, particularly for groups of four or more.
